Cursus beschrijving

The courses serve levels A1 - C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference as well as the Humboldt-Proficiency course.

Our intensive German courses comprise 30 lessons per week. The very effective lessons cover all areas of language acquisition (reading, writing, listening, grammar and expression).

School beschrijving

Ons cursuscentrum in Constance is gelegen in een modern gebouw dat alle benodigde voorzieningen heeft en is ingericht in een verwelkomende en unieke stijl. Alle lokalen zijn licht en ruim, de apparatuur is up-to-date, functionerend en van hoge kwaliteit.

De school heeft een ideale locatie, met de universiteit en het Constance-meer op slechts 5 tot 10 minuten lopen. Het stadscentrum is slechts een paar minute met de bus en kan ook met de voet worden bereikt via een wandelroute door een prachtig park langs het meer.

Historische universiteitsstad aan het Constance-meer
Constance is een levendige universiteitsstad met 82,000 inwoners aan het water van het Constance-meer (Bodensee), dat ook vaak speels de “Swabian Sea” wordt genoemd. De stad heeft een zeer aantrekkelijk historisch centrum, waar gebouwen uit de Middeleeuwen en de Renaissance tussen barokke paleizen staan. Deze gebouwen getuigen van de welstand van deze eerbiedwaardige handelsstad. Dankzij de nabijheid van de Zwitserse grens was Constance niet geraakt door de verwoesting van de Tweede Wereldoorlog.

Ruim aanbod aan culturele evenementen
De prachtige ligging van de stad aan het meer en in de uitlopers van de Alpen maakt Constance tot een aantrekkelijke plek om het programma te volgen en de ligging biedt ook vele vrijetijdsmogelijkheden. De stad heeft een fantastische infrastructuur voor internationale studenten dankzij de moderne universiteit, die één van de 10 Elite Universiteiten van Duitsland is. Er is een ruim aanbod aan culturele evenementen, zoals muziek, theater- en filmfestivals, jazzoptredens en literaire clubs, maar ook een groot aantal aan bars, cafés, clubs en restaurants.

"Great. Covered all aspects of the German Language- oral,written and aural"

The location of Humboldt-Institut is very accessible as there are many bus routes available. This one-week intensive course was extremely beneficial. The teacher that I had (Thomas Diemar) explained in detail all aspects of the language which the students found difficult. He explained grammar topics clearly and ensured that we all had a clear understanding of what he was explaining as we completed exercises individually to show our understanding. He was patient and spent the necessary time on each student with difficulties and he also corrected our pronunciation of the language.

Meals were also provided. I only prevailed of the lunches every day as I was only there for one week and I also chose the no-housing option.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this course. The only negative was that I only did the course for one week. I would strongly recommend doing it for longer.

All in all I had a good experience.
Teachers are valuable and always available. The teaching methods are effective but sometimes too fast.
Activities on the whole make it possible to open up and converse with others. Although it is about talking with people who are apprentices like me.
The ease of learning varies according to the teachers.
One of the problems that emerge even when I speak with other colleagues is the prices of courses that are high. I do not think that Humboldt is as much better than the other schools that are constant. Then I always ask myself why most people who come never stay long.
I'm not sleeping in Humboldt and I can’t talk about the school location.

When you compare our residential courses, please take into account all included services such as as accommodation, full-board, activity-program and more.

Visa assistentie

We kunnen geen visas voor studenten aanvragen. De school kan u echter wel met alle benodigde documentatie voorzien die u nodig heeft voor uw visa aanvraag.

Uw acceptatiebrief zal gratis naar uw huisadres per normale post worden gestuurd. Indien u uw documentatie per express post wilt ontvangen zal 125 € in rekening gebracht worden bij uw registratie.

Vlucht en airport transfer

U kan van het vliegveld worden opgehaald. Indien u opgehaald wilt worden, geef ons uw vlucht informatie en aankomst datum. De prijs van een enkele reis ophaal vliegveld transpoirt is 50 €. U moet uw vliegveld transport van te voren reserveren.

"What is exactly the difference between "Intensive German Course for commuters" and the regular "Intensive German Course"."

The difference between the "Intensive German Course for commuters" and the regular "Intensive German Course" is that the "Intensive German Course" includes accommodation and full board where as the "Intensive German Course for commuters"  is for people who live in Constance and do not need accommodation and full board.
