Door Sunday Times Magazine uitgeroepen tot "Beste plek om te wonen in het Verenigd Koninkrijk 2017" ! Bristol is een vriendelijke, veilige stad met een lange en kleurrijke geschiedenis.

Met een bevolking van 500.000 inwoners is het de culturele en commerciële hoofdstad van het zuidwesten.
Het is de thuisbasis van een diverse gemeenschap van artiesten, muzikanten, media, financiële en high-tech bedrijven.
Bristol heeft twee uitstekende universiteiten, honderden moderne en traditionele pubs en restaurants, musea, bioscopen en parken. Bristol was European Green Capital in 2015.

Voor “shopaholics” heeft het winkelcentrum Cabot en de St Nicholas Market alles wat u nodig heeft
Er is altijd iets te beleven in Bristol - muziekfestivals, Europa's grootste luchtballonfestival, een havenfestival, foodfestivals en meer.

Voor sport- en outdoor liefhebbers heeft Bristol twee voetbalteams, een rugbyclub, sportscholen, zwembaden, klimmen, paardrijden, mountainbiken en een watersportcentrum in de haven.

Bristol is niet ver van andere interessante plaatsen: Bath, Oxford, Cardiff, Stonehenge en Stratford-Upon-Avon zijn allemaal dichtbij en Londen ligt op slechts 90 minuten met de trein.

De twee IH-centra bieden lichte en ruime klaslokalen, een goed gevulde studeerkamer, wi-fi en internettoegang en zelfs privétuinen. De school is een IELTS en Cambridge Exam Open Centre en heeft de verwachtingen van onafhankelijke inspectie-instellingen overtroffen. De school is ook een centrum voor lerarenopleiding wat leidt tot voortdurende verbetering van ons cursusmateriaal.

Truly everything was awesome! The location of the school is near the best places in Bristol ( Clifton Suspension Bridge, city center, shops, Bristol docks and great restaurants) and still it managed to be in a quiet street, so you can fully focus on absorbing the new language skills served by very experience and patient teachers. When it comes to the accommodation, it was fantastic! The family, where I stayed, were great at every aspect of daily life. They helped me with everything I needed and gave the most precious gift, homey feeling. Thank you guys.

Unite House is a modern, comfortable university residence, in close walking distance of the school. IH Bristol rents 'IH Bristol-only' flats for our students each summer. Students from other schools will also be in the same building but in seperate flats. Flats have en-suite bedrooms with shared kitchen facilities. Each flat has 6 or 7 bedrooms.

Visa assistentie

We kunnen geen visas voor studenten aanvragen. De school kan u echter wel met alle benodigde documentatie voorzien die u nodig heeft voor uw visa aanvraag.

Indien u voor meer dan 11 maanden in de VK studeert, zult u een referentie nummer ontvangen genaamd Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) die u bij de VK ambassade in dient te leveren samen met uw Standaard Studenten Visa aanmeldingsformulier. Studenten die succesvol een talen cursus gereserveerd hebben en die hun kosten betaald hebben zullen een CAS van ontvangen. Let aub op dat UK wet aangeeft dat een CAS alleen aan studenten gegeven kan worden die Engelse taal studies willen gaan doen die meer dan 11 maanden duren.

Indien u voor 11 maanden of minder in de VK studeert, dient u een speciale bezoeker's visa aan te vragen genaamd Student Visitor Visa. Als student bezoeker, zult u niet in staat zijn part-time te werken terwijl u studeert. Indien u van plan bent om 11 maanden of minder in de UK te studeren, zal een acceptatiebrief naar u gestuurd worden tegen geen extra kosten. Indien u uw documenten via express post wilt ontvangen zult u £ 60 in rekening gebracht worden bij uw registratie.
